J&K logs 95 cases of COVID-19

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Friday recorded 95 new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), which took the total number of positive cases detected so far in the UT to 4,52,817, officials said.

Of the fresh cases, they said 65 reported from Jammu division and 30 from Kashmir Valley.

Moreover, 187 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 126 from Jammu division and 61 from Kashmir in the last 24 hours.

No new case of Mucormycosis (black fungus) was reported today, they said.

On vaccination, the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus informed that 17,633 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to 2,14,67,440.

According to the bulletin, out of 4,52,817 positive cases recorded cumulatively so far, currently there are 995 active positive cases across J&K, including 586 in Jammu division and 409 in Kashmir, while as 4,47,074 persons have recovered and 4,748 have died – 2,423 in Kashmir and2,325 in Jammu division.

Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases reported today, the bulletin informed that Srinagar reported 18 cases, Baramulla, Budgam and Kupwara reported 03 cases each, while as one each case were reported in Kulgam, Anantnag and Bandipora and no fresh cases were reported from Pulwama, Ganderbal and Shopian districts.

Similarly, Jammu reported 27 cases, Doda reported 20 cases, Kathua, Samba and Ramban reported five cases each, Poonch reported one new case while Udhampur, Kishtwar and Reasi reported no fresh cases.
