Uri: Fire has engulfed forest areas of Sub Division Uri resulting in damage to hundreds of trees.
Witnesses said that dry weather coupled with gusty and strong winds helped the fire to spread across the jungles in Uri destroying vegetation and several trees.
“The fire has led to huge loss to green gold most of the trees are burning,” they said.
Local residents said that the fire has mostly destroyed new plantation.
One person identified as Hafeez Ahmad Khan son of Master Mohammad Younis Khan of Dani syedan Uri 42 was injured during firefighting in Molinag.
Official from PHC Boniyar said that we received a person with burn injures and shifted him to GMC Baramulla for further treatment and from Baramulla he was shifted to Srinagar.
