Director Accounts and Treasuries Kashmir takes stock of construction of Treasury Office Uri

Baramulla: In order to review the progress of construction work of Treasury Office in Uri, Director Accounts and Treasuries Kashmir Shaheen Mohammad Ashraf flanked by District Treasury Officer Baramulla Shazia Rasool visited Sub Division Uri on Saturday.

On the occasion, Director Accounts and Treasuries Kashmir held a meeting with Executive Engineer R&B Uri, JK Bank Zonal head, JK Bank Cluster head and other officials and urged the department to speed up the construction work.

“There is makeshift building housing Jammu and Kashmir Bank on the land where construction of Treasury in Uri is proposed but the Jammu and Kashmir bank delays the vacation from the building due which sanctioned the construction project got delayed, locals of Uri said.

They said that they are facing grave hardships in the absence treasury office in Uri.

Later, Shaheen Mohammad Ashraf (DATK) took meeting with  officials of J&K Bank and Executive Engineer R& B special Sub Division Uri at Dakbanglow bandi Uri regarding delay in construction of Treasury Building in Uri.

During the meeting, JK Bank was given deadline of February 26 to vacate the makeshift building immediately so that the construction of Treasury Office is started without any further delay.

Director Accounts and Treasury instructed the Bank officials to vacate the premises and asked the Executive Engineer R&B to start construction work without any further delay as the tendering of the work has been already done.
