One of the world’s top political artist, known for his irreverent wit and thought provoking art, Banksy has created a wave of revolution across the cities around the globe. There has hardly been any street artist/ graffiti artist who created such an impact through art across the globe as Banksy did. Although his actual identity remains a mystery, his works fetch millions of dollars in auctions. Banksy has been active as a graffiti artist since late 90s, and before partnering with another notable street artist Inkie, he was associated with a graffiti crew in Bristol by the name of DryBreadZ Crew or DBZ.  Generally working with stencils, His work includes powerful, often controversial images, encouraging the rapid spread of his name and work across the internet.

In London, a big art exhibition dedicated to the artist has returned to the capital. “The Art of Banksy”, located in Covent Garden, is the largest touring exhibition of Banksy’s artworks.  The exhibition although completely unauthorised, with absolutely nothing from the artist has seen at least by 7 lac people. The work at display has been collected from private sources around the world making it worlds largest collection of artists work under one roof. The Art of Banksy displays prints, canvasses, screenprints, unique works, limited-edition pieces and more.

The touring exhibition has already visited the likes of Toronto, Miami, Sydney, Melbourne, Tel Aviv, Gothenburg, and Auckland. Organisers claim that 750,000 people have already seen the travelling show, and right now, you can find it in a vast warehouse on Covent Garden’s Earlham Street.The Art of Banksy holds the world’s largest collection of privately owned Banksy art.

This globally acclaimed showcase features original and authenticated works associated with, arguably, the most intriguing and talked-about artist in modern history. On display are some famous works by Banksy including, ‘Girl and Balloon’, ‘Flower Thrower’ and ‘Rude Copper’ along with limited-edition pieces mainly dated between the years 1997 to 2008, the period which resulted in Banksy’s most recognizable and well-known works.

On their website ‘Pest control representing Banksy, in an answer to the question posed by someone regarding the exhibition, it was made clear in a humoristic statement that “Banksy has NOTHING to do with any of the current or recent exhibitions and they are nothing like a genuine Banksy show. They might be crap so please don’t come to us for a refund”.
