The Div Com took a comprehensive review of district Capex budget works being executed under different sectors.

The Deputy Commissioners briefed the Div Com about the physical and financial status of work projects and expenditure incurred.

It was informed that the to-date percentage achievement under District Capex Budget for district Jammu is 50.45, Samba 50.60, Kathua 74.17, Udhampur 79.68, Reasi 81.15, Rajouri 69.32, Poonch 78, Ramban 68.80, Doda 79.55, Kishtwar 77.91.

The Div Com expressed dismay over the low expenditure under some components in the districts. He reviewed reasons for low expenditure and directed concerned departments to resolve issues, ensure tendering of all the works and their execution. He also asked DCs to hold regular reviews and find out the reasons for the poor tendering response.

Issuing a string of instructions, the Div Com stressed on the Deputy Commissioners to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of ongoing works for their time-bound completion.

The Div Com instructed the DCs to ensure productive and fruitful utilization of the available resources and put in extra efforts to achieve 100 percent expenditure well in time. He also advised the district administrations to go for composite tendering where the response is poor so that Development works can be done.
