Pardesi seeks rehabilitation for Batawara shopkeepers
FacebookTwitterWhatsapp

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on Tuesday asked the LG Administration to rehabilitate the shopkeepers, who have been evicted from the Sub Area transition camp, Batwara by BB cantonment authorities.

Drawing the attention of LG administration towards the plight of these shopkeepers, Party Provincial Vice President Ahsan Pardesi said the measure has not just affected the shopkeepers only but has rendered the number of salesmen and other staffers associated with the shops jobless.

“Unmindful of the compelling economic impact the eviction drive has on the traders and number of families associated with them,” Pardesi said: “the BB board has turned blind eye to the hardships faced by the affected marginal traders who used to eke out a humbling living by running these shops.”

He impressed the LG administration to look into the matter and ensure the rehabilitation and compensation to those affected.
