J&K reports new 4615 Covid cases; seven related deaths

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir today reported 4615 new cases of Covid-19 taking the tally of total positive cases till date to 432875.

Officials said that 3412 fresh cases were reported from Kashmir division and 1401 from Jammu division and 3214 from Kashmir division. Seven infection related deaths, four from Jammu and three from Kashmir division were also reported.

They said that no new case of Mucormycosis was reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains51 across J&K.

In last 24 hours, officials said that 17,144 doses of Covid vaccine were administered bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to 2,04,29,965.

They said that out of 432875 positive cases in the UT, 40270 are active positive (10468 in Jammu division and 29802 in Kashmir division) while as 387946 have recovered and 4659 have died – 2275 from Jammu division and 2384 in Kashmir division.

Once again, Srinagar district reported the maximum cases (889) followed by Jammu district (26) while as Budgam district stood at number three with 663 cases, officials said.

They said that Baramulla district reported 479 fresh cases, Pulwama 69 cases, Kupwara 613 cases, Anantnag 244 cases, Bandipora 21 cases, Ganderbal 46 cases, Kulgam 159 cases while as Shopian reported 31 fresh cases today.

Reasi reported 18 fresh cases, Udhampur 151cases, Rajouri 45 cases, Doda 133 cases, Kathua 40 cases, Samba 46 cases, Poonch 35 cases, Kishtwar 59 cases and Ramban reported 48 fresh cases today, said the officials.
