COVID: J&K reports 4354 fresh cases; five deaths

J&K records 60 COVID-19 deaths, 4,788 fresh cases

Srinagar: The tally of Covid-19 positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 424085 with the UT reporting 4354 fresh cases on Friday.

Officials said that 2914 new cases were reported from Kashmir and 1440 from Jammu division.

Besides, five infection related deaths were also reported – two from Kashmir and three from Jammu division, said the officials.

They said that no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed casesremains51 across J&K.

Out of 424085 positive cases, 45156are active positive (11110in Jammu division and 34046in Kashmir Division), 374282 have recovered and 4647 have died – 2268 from Jammu and 2379 from Kashmir division, said the officials.

Srinagar district reported the maximum fresh cases (916) followed by Jammu district (763), the officials said.

Kupwara reported 618 fresh cases; Anantnag, 329; Baramulla, 290; Kulgam, 262; Budgam, 229; Bandipora, 109; Pulwama, 90; Ganderbal, 42 and; Shopian reported 29 fresh cases, the officials said.

They said that Udhampur reported 111 fresh cases; Ramban, 106; Samba, 104 cases; Doda, 103; Poonch, 91;Kathua, 68; Reasi, 61; Rajouri, 43 and; Kishtwar reported 30 fresh cases today.

The officials said that 33,999doses of Covid vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to 2,03,67,133.
