Karnah: Three labourers were on Friday rescued after they got buried under snow avalanche that struck near KundiDowana area on Karnah-Kupwara road.

Officials said that a team of Army and Beacon rescued three labourers after they were buried under snow avalanche near KundiDowana area.

They said the avalanche struck at around 2 pm today, burying three labourers including bulldozer driver working on the restoration of Karnah-Kupwara road.

The officials said that soon after the incident a rescue operation was launched and all three labourers were rescued alive and were shifted to a safer place.

They said that one of the labourers complained of chest pain, following which he was shifted to military hospital for treatment, where his condition is stated to be stable.
