Covid-19: J&K reports 4959 fresh cases; seven deaths

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir today reported 4959 new cases of Covid-19 taking the tally of total such cases to 419731, officials said.

They said that 3565 positive cases were reported from Kashmir division and 1394 from Jammu division.

The UT also reported 07Covid related deaths 06 from Kashmir and 01from Jammu division, officials said.

The officials said that nonew case of Mucormycosis was reported todaythus the total number of confirmed casesremains51 across J&K.

While the vaccination drive continues in full swing, officials said that 33,677doses of Covid vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to2,03,28,501, officials said.

The officials said that out of 419731 positive cases, 46657are active positive (11591in Jammu division and 35066in Kashmir division), 368432 have recovered and 4642 have died; 2265 in Jammu division and 2377in Kashmir division.

Srinagar district once again topped with positive cases reporting 841 fresh cases followed by Baramulla (784) and Jammu (703) fresh cases.

Budgam reported 440 fresh cases, Pulwama 135 cases, Kupwara 529 cases, Anantnag 299 cases, Bandipora 130 cases, Ganderbal 87 cases, Kulgam reported 295cases while as Shopian reported 25 fresh cases, officials said.

They said that Reasi reported 08 cases today, Udhampur 31 cases, Rajouri 68cases, Doda 162 cases, Kathua 23 cases, Samba 110 cases, Poonch 25 cases, Kishtwar 165 cases and Ramban reported 99 fresh cases.
