Srinagar: A policeman escaped a bid on his life by an unidentified militant in Batamaloo area of Srinagar on Friday.
Officials said that a pistol-borne militant opened fire on constable Muneer Meraj near his residence in SD Colony in Batamaloo area.
The militant, however, missed the target and the said cop escaped the attack unhurt, said officials, adding, police has taken cognizance of the incident and started investigation.
