VC leads National Flag Hoisting ceremony at KU Main Campus

Srinagar, Jan 26: A National Flag hoisting ceremony was on Wednesday held at the University of Kashmir.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Talat Ahmad led the ceremony, which was organised to celebrate the country’s 73rd Republic Day.

Faculty members, officers and non-teaching staff members attended the Flag Hoisting ceremony in the premises of the Vice-Chancellor’s Secretariat.

The National Anthem was also sung as the Vice-Chancellor unfurled the National Flag.

A ceremonial Guard of Honour was also offered by a contingent of Jammu and Kashmir Police.

On the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor also highlighted the significance of the Republic Day Celebrations as well as key highlights of the country’s Constitution.
