Safeena Beigh inaugurates “Cutting & Tailoring” course at Baramulla

BARAMULLA: In order to generate employment among women and make them self reliant, Chairperson District Development Council Baramulla, Safeena Beigh today inaugurated 30-day-long “Cutting and Tailoring” course for SHG members of JKRLM at Block Training Centre Baramulla.

The programme organized by Rural Self Employment Training Institute Baramulla marked enthusiastic participation of the unemployed women of the district.

The participants were given training for cutting and stitching. The resource person also received feedback from the participants for further improvement of the training.

On the occasion, Chairperson DDC Baramulla complimented the efforts of Programme Coordinator for organizing such a program, adding that these programmes benefit the unemployed women more especially dropout girls in order to become self reliant and self dependent.

Addressing the participants, Chairperson DDC Baramulla emphasized that women can utilise their free time and can generate additional income through tailoring profession sitting at home.

She also informed that such programmes will be organized in future also with female trainers so that the female participants do not feel shy and interact freely to learn the difficult steps of tailoring.

She also urged all the participants to make full use of this opportunity and also assured full cooperation from administration in order to uplift their socio-economic status.
