Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday registered 139 new positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), which took the total number of positive cases recorded so far across the UT to 3,41,167. One more person also died of COVID infection in Jammu division, officials said.

They said of the fresh cases, 102 were reported from Kashmir and 37 from the Jammu division.

Moreover, 120 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 101 from Kashmir and 19 from Jammu division.

No new case of Mucormycosis (black fungus) was reported today – so far the total number of confirmed cases across J&K remains 50.

On vaccination, the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus informed that 91,585 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to 1,84,82,509.

According to the bulletin, out of 3,41,167 positive cases recorded cumulatively across J&K so far, currently there are 1,294 active positive cases in the UT including 912 in Kashmir and 382 in Jammu division, while as 3,35,347 persons have recovered and 4,526 have died – 2,328 in Kashmir and 2,198 in Jammu division.
