Two injured in explosion at oxygen plant of GMC Baramulla

Baramulla: Two technicians were injured in a blast at the oxygen plant of Government Medical College Baramulla in north Kashmir on Monday morning.

As per initial reports, the blast took place due to some “mechanical fault” at the plant causing burn injuries to the two technicians.

The injured technicians were identified as Mohamad Saleem Khan of Kanlibagh Baramulla, and Asif Mushtaq Bhat of Delina Baramulla.

Confirming the incident Principal GMC Dr Ruby Reshi said, “I am enquiring the details, primary information says that a panel in oxygen plant developed some technical snag and it burst.”

“Two technicians have superficial burn injuries,” added the Principal.

Both the technicians were shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for treatment.
