Srinagar: Student Leader and National Spokesperson of J&K Students Association here on Sunday called on Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and apprised him about various issues being faced by the Kashmiri students.
In a statement issued here, Khuehami said: “I also shared my concern with the former CM pertaining to the Kashmiri students who have been booked under infamous colonial era sedition law, accusing them of raising provocative slogans, a claim which has been contested by college authorities on record.”
“Assuring his full support in trying to get the three students released, Captain Amarinder Singh informed me that he will take up the matter with Home Minister and the State Government. He assured that he will take every possible step to ensure safety and security of the Kashmiri students,” he said.
