H&ME dept identifies posts for NHM contractual Covid nurses

Jammu: Acting on the instructions of Lieutenant Governor, the Health and Medical Education Department has identified about 96 vacancies of nurses for the NHM contractual Covid nurses in various hospitals of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to a communiqué issued in this regard, these posts include 36 in Government Medical College, Jammu and 18 under the Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir, apart from vacancies in Doda, Baramulla, Rajouri, Anantnag. It is expected that the vacancies would be advertised soon and these contractual employees shall be given preference in the recruitment process.

Pertinently, LG had assured the nurses and other para-medical staff that their contracts would be extended by three months. He had also announced that they will be given priority in recruitment of various posts in H&ME Department.
