SRINAGAR: The employees of Joint Directorate of Information Kashmir has condoled the demise of their colleague Abdul Rashid Khanday, former Artist of Cultural Unit of the department, who passed away on Dec 20, 2021 at his native place Anchidora in Anantnag district.

In this connection, a condolence meeting was held here in the Divisional Office, Kashmir under the chairmanship of Joint Director Information Kashmir, Inam Ul Haq Siddiqui wherein deep sorrow and grief was expressed over the demise of Khanday.

Recalling the services of their deceased colleague, he had rendered to the department during his active service, they said that Khanday was industrious, hard worker and helpful to all.

While extending their sympathies with the bereaved family, they prayed to Allah to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.

Besides, Mohammad Aslam Khan, I/C. Deputy Director (PR), Kashmir, the officials of Cultural Unit, Field Publicity Unit, Advt Wing, PR Section, Administration Section and Accounts Section were present in the condolence meet.

Similar condolence meetings were also held in the DICs across Kashmir.
