Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday reported 136 new positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), while one more person succumbed to the infection in the last 2r4 hours.

Of the fresh cases, officials said 114 were from Kashmir and 22 from the Jammu division — taking the cumulative total of positive cases recorded thus far in Jammu and Kashmir to 3,39,827.

One fresh COVID death was reported from Kashmir, officials said.

They said in the last 24 hours, 142 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals, including 100 from Kashmir and 42 from the Jammu division.

No new case of Mucormycosis (black fungus) was today — the total number of confirmed cases across J&K remains 50.

On vaccination, the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus informed that 31,799 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to 1,75,92,163.

According to the bulletin, out of 3,39,827 positive cases recorded cumulatively so far, currently there are 1,451 active positive cases across J&K, including 1,110 in Kashmir and 341 in Jammu division, while as 3,33,864 persons have recovered and 4,512 have died – 2,318 in Kashmir and 2,194 in Jammu division.
