NC condemns sacrilege bid at Golden temple

Ask people to maintain peace, unity

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on Sunday condemned the alleged sacrilege bid at Golden Temple, Amritsar.

While condemning the act of alleged sacrilege attempt of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in the sanctum sanctorum of Sri Harmandir Sahib, party spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar said the incident is unprecedented in nature and has created a lot of anguish among Sikh community.

Sharing the grief of millions of Sikhs around the globe, NC demanded a thorough probe into the alleged sacrilege incident. He also urged the people not to play into the hands of miscreants, who he maintained don’t want brotherhood to prevail over all forces of obscurantism and evil that seek to divide us.

Minority wing Organizer Sardar JS Azad has also condemned the alleged sacrilege bid in strongest possible terms and demanded thorough probe into the unfortunate incident.
