SRINAGAR: The two days conference organized by Kashmir Society International and Khawaja Renzushah Foundation in collaboration with Academy of Art Culture and Languages in connection with celebration of honor given by UNESCO to Srinagar city was concluded here today at Tagore hall where Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Mr. PK Pole was the chief guest.
Divisional Commissioner while speaking on the occasion highlighted the importance of Srinagar city and initiatives taken by the Govt for its development.
The Divisional Commissioner said that donating blood for saving lives is the best policy which we all should adopt in our life.
Earlier, Chairman Kashmir Society International Renzushah in his welcome address shed light on the history of Srinagar city and the honor given to it by UNESCO. He also highlighted the role of religious personalities in working and spreading the message of peace and brotherhood.
Later the Divisional Commissioner gave away awards among the persons associated with different walks of life including artisans, religious heads, educationists, Govt officers, social activists and literary personalities for their contribution.
