Sopore cricketer injured in road accident succumbs
Srinagar: A cricketer from apple town Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district who was injured in a road accident last week succumbed to his injuries in Srinagar hospital on Thursday.
Tariq Ahmed Mir, 27, a well-known local cricketer from Janwara Sopore had sustained critical injuries when his motorcycle (JK05B-5122) was hit by a speeding vehicle on Sopore-Bandipora road near Hathlangoo area on December 01. Mir was undergoing treatment at SKIMS Soura where he succumbed to his injuries this morning, the KNT report said.
Police have already taken cognizance of the incident and registered a formal case in this regard.
