DC Sgr for timely completion of prestigious Semi Ring Road project

SRINAGAR: To accelerate the pace of prestigious Srinagar Semi Ring Road project and resolve the pending issues of land between Custodian Department, Horticulture Department and local landowners at Ranmbirgarh-Pratabgrah, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, on Friday chaired a meeting at Meeting Hall of DC Office Complex, here.

On the occasion, the DC directed the concerned executing agency to speed up the pace of work on the prestigious project and said that no one will be allowed to create hinderance in the execution of work by the NHAI.

While discussing the pending issue with regard to Custodian land measuring 135 kanal, the DC directed for the constitution of the Committee headed by Tehsildar concerned for settlement of the land title and demarcation.

With regard to reassessment and compensation of fruit bearing trees at the site, the DC assured the farmers that all possible measures will be taken in light of directions from the High Court as the matter is sub-judice.

Earlier, the DC held an interaction session with the affected landowners and held threadbare discussion with regard to issues hindering the completion of the project.

The DC listened to them patiently and assured that all their genuine issues will be looked into on top priority for speedy resolution. He told them that this project is of great public importance and all bottlenecks have been cleared for speedy execution of the project.

Collector PWD Sandeep Bali, Deputy Custodian, Chief Horticulture Officer, Tehsildar concerned and other officers attended the meeting, while the affected landowners of Ranmbirgarh-Pratabgrah Narbal were also present in the meeting.
