He said unscheduled power cuts have made the lives of common man miserable and pathetic despite people paying regular huge bills of electricity. Mattoo further said that if the streamlining on this front is not made seriously at the earliest Apni party will hold protest demonstrations in coming days in every nook and corner in Jammu region is for this genuine demand of the people and it will force the Government to expedite the things in this direction on war footing

Meanwhile, Apni Party leaders and workers today organized a protest demonstration at Akhnoor Tehsil demanding a regular Sub Divisional Magistrate in the Akhnoor Sub Division.

While speaking at the protesting site, party leaders emphasis that Akhnoor Sub Division comprised of larger area and population which is badly suffering due to ad-hoc arrangement of SDM assigning additional charge to SDM Chowki Chora to attend for few days at Akhnoor Sub Division which does not meet the requirements to redress the grievances and disposal of official /public related issues in a time bound manner.

The protesters also highlighted and raised the issue of opening of roads through the army area from Grenadier Chowk to Daskal Akhnoor at village Gurha Talab Panchayat Halqa Ambaran.
