Pertinently, Kala Utsav is a regular feature of the academic calender with an aim to promote finer arts in education by nurturing and showcasing the artistic talent of school students. It also recognizes the importance of aesthetics and artistic experiences which play a major role in creating awareness about the rich cultural heritage of India and its vibrant diversity.

The winners of district level competitions, held earlier, competed in 5 different categories today to exhibit their talent and reserve a berth in the Union Territory Level competitions with an eye on the national level competition. A total of 20 students from 10 districts of Jammu division represented their respective districts.

Speaking on the occasion, BK Singh appreciated the efforts put in by the students and their mentors and wished them good luck for the competition and future endeavors. He asked the teachers to adopt a student centric approach so that all round development of the students can be achieved.
