J&K logs 182 new positive cases of COVID-19

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday reported 182 new positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), while no virus-related death was reported in the last 24 hours, officials said.’

Of the fresh cases, they said, 149 were reported from Kashmir and 33 from the Jammu division — taking the total number of positive cases recorded so far in the UT to 3,36,063.

They also said that in the last 24 hours 160 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals, including 128 from Kashmir and 32 from the Jammu division.

No new case of mucormycosis (black fungus) was reported today, they said.

On vaccination, the daily media bulletin informs that 52,369 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K so far to 1,64,37,255.

According to the bulletin, out of 3,36,063 positive cases recorded cumulatively thus far, currently there are 1,706 active positive cases across J&K, including 1,458 in Kashmir and 248 in Jammu division, while as 3,29,891 persons have recovered and 4,466 have died – 2,282 in Kashmir and 2,184 in Jammu division.
