DC Srinagar chalks out strategy for implementation of LG’s directions for Public Outreach Campaign

Srinagar: The Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad Thursday chaired a meeting of all Sectoral/District Officers to review the follow-up and implementation of directions of the Lieutenant Governor issued during a Video conference held on 15th of this month.

At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner briefed the meeting about the directions of Lieutenant Governor including Apki Zameen Apki Nigrani; through which all landholders should be shown their land record, Celebrating Merit by felicitating newly appointed Class-IV employees at Panchayat level, Janta Ki Scheme-Janta ki Bhagidari; to improve access to BEAMS-Empowerment; a simple process of seeing online details of all ongoing works in an area/village, to inform and solicit people’s participation in development process and Corruption free and Clean Governance, One Person One Golden  Card; for providing Golden to every citizen within two months by organizing camps at Panachayat level, Har Ghar Nal Se Jal; Involving all stakeholders through ISAs/other Government Offices for installation of Functional Household Tap water connection to target houses by converting it into a mass programme, Be-Rozgar Se Swa-Rozgar; Self Employment to at least 5 persons in every Panchayat, Har Kam Ki Shuruat; 100% tender allotment within a month with respect to identified works in District Plan, Har Gaon Swacch Gaon; Renewed Swachhata Campaign in all Villages by enhancing implementation of Village Action Plan prepared during October for Solid and Liquid waste management as well as improving implementation of Door to Door Solid Waste Collections in all wards, Har Gaon Hariyali; under Green J&K Drive covering every village under One Beat Guard, One Village program and plantation Target in all Panchyats and Har Ghar Dastak; to cover all unvaccinated cases, sensitization regarding importance of CAB, and masks.

The Deputy Commissioner said all above directions are part of a public outreach programme to be carried out for the welfare and development of the general public. He asked the officers to implement all programmes/schemes as directed in a mission mode so that people are benefitted at grassroots level.

The DC directed the Officers of all the concerned departments to devise/formulate a chart for a set of events to be carried in the next one month in the District. DC said he will personally monitor the implementation process and asked the Revenue authorities to ensure maximum Landholders view their Land Records in the respective jurisdiction of the concerned Revenue Office.

With regarding to Janta Ki Scheme-Janta ki Bhagidari; to improve access to BEAMS-Empowerment, the DC directed for holding District-Level Awareness Programmes so that all concerned get well acquainted with the Digital interventions taken for all stakeholders see online details of all ongoing works in an area/village and solicit people’s participation in development process and Corruption free and Clean Governance.

The DC directed the CMO Srinagar to ensure all citizens of the District are provided a Golden Card within two months so that they are eligible to avail the benefits under PM-JAY Sehat scheme. He also asked the concerned Revenue authorities and ICDS department to provide necessary support and cooperation to the concerned agencies in this regard.

He also directed the Rural Development Department authorities to take all necessary measures with regard to the directions and involve members of PRIs in the process.

Regarding Har Gaon Hariyali under Green J&K Drive, the DC asked for undertaking a joint activity plan by Forest and other concerned Departments for enhancing green cover in every village.

With regard to Har Ghar Dastak, the DC directed the CMO to cover all unvaccinated cases and continue sensitization regarding importance of CAB and wearing of masks.

DC also passed similar directions to the concerned and hoped that all above instructions will be implemented on ground in a mission mode manner to ensure effective and prompt delivery of public services.
