Sopore: A 28-year-old woman was mauled by a bear outside her home in north Kashmir’s Sopore on Friday morning.
Reports said that the woman, a resident of Hardushiva village of Sopore was attacked and injured by a wild bear when she was back home from a seminary where she teaches the Holy Qur’an.
She was immediately shifted to SDH Sopore wherefrom she has been referred to SMHS Srinagar for advanced treatment.
An official from Wildlife department said that a team has been sent to the area to capture the bear.
