Srinagar: A militant who was killed in a brief gunfight in Bemina area of Srinagar yesterday evening has been identified and was a relative of one of the accused in Lethpora attack, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said Friday.

“Militant killed in Srinagar Encounter identified as Aamir Riyaz of Khrew Pulwama affiliated with militant outfit Mujahideen Gazwatul Hind. He was relative of one of the accused of Lethpora Militant Attack and was assigned to carry out fidayeen attack: IGP Kashmir”, Kashmir Zone Police tweeted as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO)
