Addressing the meeting, the Director said that the department had a satisfied Kharief season and is expecting good results for the Rabi season as well. He said the Department this year has initiated a valley-wide drive to promote the cultivation of oil-seeds (mustard) under national mission on edible oils so that more uncovered areas could be brought under this commercially important crop.

The meeting was attended by Joint Director Agriculture Inputs Farooq Ahmad Bhat, Chief Agriculture Officer Baramulla, Chief Agriculture Officer Bandipora and other senior officers of both the districts.
