Srinagar: A meeting of the Sub-committee of State Level Executive Committee (SLEC) for MIDH was today held under the chairmanship of Director General (DG) Horticulture Kashmir, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, at the Directorate of Horticulture here.

The committee thoroughly examined and scrutinized the DPRs relating to CA stores/Cold stores/Food Processing units under Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture Kashmir.

After examining the DPRs and related documents, it was unanimously decided that all 8 cases which were placed before the sub-committee shall be placed before the State Level Executive Committee (SLEC) for approval.

Later, Dr. S.K. Malhotra, Horticulture Commissioner, Ministry of Agriculture, GOI, took a review meeting of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) at the Directorate of Horticulture Kashmir.

The DG apprised the Commissioner about the current status of different schemes viz. MIDH, PMDP, SMAM, PMKSY besides others. The Commissioner assured that the necessary funds to meet the expenditure under the schemes will be released shortly.

The meeting was attended by General Manager, SIDCO, Jt. Director Horticulture Kashmir and Representatives of S.E. MED, Srinagar, R&B Srinagar, Drug and Food Control Organization Srinagar and Chief Canning and Processing Instructor, Srinagar.
