DC Anantnag chairs meeting of contractors; stresses on completion of projects by 30th Nov

Anantnag: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr Piyush Singla today chaired a meeting of contractors undertaking various projects of power department, here.

During the meeting, the DC stressed on the need for timely completion of all power projects under execution. He directed the contractors to ensure that their allotted works are completed by 30th of November this year.

Dr Singla on the occasion directed the concerned officers to complete all codal formalities immediately and streamline bottlenecks if any to ensure smooth execution of works.

The Govt has been committed to ensure minimal disruptions in power supply this winter. Accordingly, necessary infrastructure upgradation is being undertaken in the district.

The DC also directed the officials from power development department to regularly report progress on execution. He said that erring agencies that fail to complete execution within the stipulated deadline will face legal action.

He also directed officials to take penal action against defaulters who have failed to start execution of works allotted to them.

Dr Singla assured the officials and contractors that they will facilitate resolution of impediments, if any, in the execution of works.

All such contractors for whom allotments of projects has been made were present during the meeting.
