Chief Secretary inaugurates multipurpose Srinagar Sports Club

Srinagar: Chief Secretary, Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, inaugurated a multipurpose sports club with all vital utilities under one roof at Sher-e- Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex here today

The multipurpose facility named as Srinagar Sports Club shall be first of its kind, all in one sports facility for games like Billiards, Snooker, Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis and Yoga with Sports Library.

Dr. Mehta was accompanied by Secretary Tourism and Culture, Sarmad Hafeez, Director Tourism Kashmir, Dr. G N Itoo, Director Youth Services and Sports, Gazanfar Ali and Secretary Sports Council, Nuzhat Gull besides other officers.

Dr. Mehta, while appreciating the efforts of J&K Sports Council in promoting and facilitating sports culture in Jammu and Kashmir, said the initiative is aimed at bringing the athletes under one roof for developing a healthy ecosystem. He said the club shall go a long way in fostering the bonds between athletes of varied backgrounds and pave way for overall development of youth of J&K.
