Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government has constituted a committee for recommending a professor to take up the charge of Dean Medical faculty at SKIMS Soura.
“In suppression of all previous orders on the subject, sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of a committee for recommending a Professor of SKIMS for the post of Dean Medical Faculty at SKIMS, Soura as per the eligibility conditions prescribed for the said post,” reads the order.
As per the order the committee will be headed by Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) Health and Medical Education Department.
“Prof M.S. Khuroo, former Director and Dean SKIMS Soura (Member, Governing Body, SKIMS) will be member of the committee. Two experts are to be nominated by Prof. M.S Khuroo for the member post. Registrar Academics, SKIMS Soura selected will be member Secretary,” reads the order.
It reads that the committee shall submit its recommendation to the General Administration Department within a period of 10 days.
