J&K records 84 fresh cases of COVID-19; no related death

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday recorded 84 fresh cases of COVID-19 taking the cumulative tall of infections to 3,31,221 while no virus related death was reported in the last 24 hours, officials said.

They said of the fresh cases, 72 were reported from Kashmir and 12 from Jammu division of the Union territory.

Moreover, 97 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 80 from Kashmir and 17 from Jammu division in the last 24 hours, they said.

They also informed that one new case of mucormycosis (black fungus) was reported today, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 49 here.

On vaccination, the daily media bulletin informed that 76,508 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours across the UT bringing the cumulative number of doses administered here so far to 13,872,262.

According to the bulletin out of 3,31,221 positive cases recorded cumulatively so far, currently there are 803 active positive cases across the UT including 678 in Kashmir and 125 in Jammu division, while as 3,25,990 persons have recovered and 4,428 have died – 2,253 in Kashmir  and 2,175 in Jammu division.
