Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Monday recorded 75 fresh cases of COVID-19 and two deaths in the past 24 hours, taking the virus tally and death toll to 3,31,137 and 4,428 respectively, officials said.

Of the 75 fresh cases, 63 were from Kashmir and 12 from the Jammu division of the union territory, they said.

Srinagar district recorded the highest number of cases at 39, followed by 10 in Baramulla, they added.

Of the two fresh fatalities, one each was reported from Kashmir and Jammu divisions, officials said.

Moreover, 100 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 88 from Kashmir and 12 from Jammu division in the last 24 hours, they said.

Meanwhile, they also said, there were 47 confirmed cases of Mucormycosis (black fungus).

On vaccination, the daily media bulletin informed that 84,350 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours across the UT bringing the cumulative number of doses administered so far here to 13,795,719.

According to the bulletin, out of 3,31,137 positive cases recorded cumulatively so far, currently there are 816 active positive cases across the UT including 686 in Kashmir and 130 in Jammu division, while as 3,25,893 persons have recovered and 4,428 have died – 2,253 in Kashmir and 2,175 in Jammu division.
