Highest number of COVID vaccine doses administered across J&K Friday: Govt

100 new positive cases registered

Srinagar: The  government on Friday said that the highest number of 1,82,863 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours across the UT bringing the cumulative number of doses administered here so far to 12,708,865.

The daily media bulletin also informed that 100 new positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), including 92 from Kashmir and eight from the Jammu division were reported today.

It said 91 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals in the last 24 hours, including 66 from Kashmir and 25 from Jammu division.

The bulletin also informed that no new case of mucormycosis (black fungus) has been reported today.

It adds that 94.53 percent of the population above the age of 18 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir so far.

According to the bulletin out of 3,30,352 positive cases recorded cumulatively so far, currently there are 1,099 active positive cases across the UT including 799 in Kashmir and 300 in Jammu division, while as 3,24,827 persons have recovered and 4,426 have died – 2,252 in Kashmir and 2,174 in Jammu division.
