Qazigund: A UBGL shell was detected and later defused in Mir Bazar area in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday afternoon, officials said.
Quoting official sources, news agency KNO reported that the shell was detected at Malpora Mir Bazar by locals following which police was called who rushed a bomb disposal squad (BDS) there.
“The BDS rushed to the spot and defused the shell without any damage,” they said.
Notably, a non-local militant was killed in an encounter on August 13 this year at the same spot. (KNO)
