Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday recorded 134 fresh coronavirus cases that pushed its infection tally to 3,30,252, officials said.

The death toll remained unchanged at 4,426 and no COVID-related death was reported in the last 24 hours, they said.

Of the 134 fresh cases, 75 were from Kashmir and 59 were reported from the Jammu division of the union territory, the officials said.

At 43, Srinagar district recorded the highest number of cases, followed by 35 in Poonch.

Moreover, 109 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been been discharged from various hospitals including 88 from Kashmir and 21 from Jammu division in the last 24 hours, the officials said.

There are 46 mucormycosis (black fungus) cases in the union territory. No fresh case has been reported since last evening, they said.

On vaccination, the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus informs that 1,68,389 doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to 12,534,897. It adds that 93.13 percent of the population above the age of 18 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir so far.

It said out of 3,30,252 positive cases recorded cumulatively thus far, currently there are 1,090 active positive cases across the UT, including 773 in Kashmir and 317 in Jammu division, while as 3,24,736 persons have recovered and 4,426 have died – 2,252 in Kashmir and 2,174 in Jammu division.
