PD&SJ Bla chairs Judiciary-Civil Admin Coordination meet

Baramulla: The Principal District and Sessions Judge (PD&SJ) Baramulla, Mohammad Yousuf Wani, today chaired Judiciary-Civil administration coordination meeting at Dak Bungalow, here to discuss various matters pertaining to timely execution of developmental works in the judiciary.

The meeting also took appraisal of the availability of essential services to the jail inmates and various other judicial institutions of the district.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Bhupinder Kumar; Chief Judicial Magistrate Sopore, Faizan ul Haq; Sub Judge Baramulla, Sayeem Qayoom; Superintendent District Jail, Barkat Ahmad Dar; Joint Director Planning, ACR, heads of various line departments among other concerned functionaries.

On the occasion, a comprehensive discussion was held wherein several issues including timely execution of infrastructural works in judiciary were highlighted by the concerned authorities. The chairman stressed upon the concerned agencies to ramp up the process of completion so that functioning of the judiciary is not hampered.

Meanwhile, the Principal Judge also chaired an Under Trial Review Committee (UTRC) meeting where he took appraisal of various facilities and necessities for jail inmates. He was briefed by the concerned authorities about the availability of various essential services wherein the Principal Judge emphasized to ensure the availability of such necessities in a smooth and hassle-free manner.

He also stressed to maintain sanitation in jails adding that maintenance of hygiene is important in the current circumstances.

Various other matters viz security of court complex, accommodation of judicial officers among other important issues having vital significance, were also discussed on the occasion.

The Deputy Commissioner assured that district administration will provide all essential services to the judicial institutions for effective judicial functioning. He added that civil administration works in tandem and coordination with the judiciary so as to achieve the desired results.
