Tributes paid to Rohit Sadhu on his 20th death anniversary

Jammu: A function was organized by Brave Hearts organization at Saraswati Vihar, Talab Tillo Bohri on the 20th death anniversary of Rohit Sadhu.

A large gathering attended the function including people from different sections of the society.

On the occasion, Chandan Kohli, SSP, Jammu, IPS, was the Chief Guest while Shakti Kumar (SSP Rural), Rajesh Baru (Tehsildar Jammu West), Kosheen Koul (DySP Domana and Tarun Uppal Chairperson, Nirbhay Bharat Foundation were the Special Guests.

“The welcome address was delivered by Sunny Mohan Sadhu, brother of Rohit Sadhu who died while fighting with terrorists on 01-10-2001 at Assembly Complex, Srinagar,” reads a communiqué issued by Brave Hearts.

The SSP said that the supreme sacrifice of Rohit Sadhu will be remembered for generations and it will inspire the youth.

Tarun Uppal, in his address, said the indebted nation owes to its security forces the respect and gratitude it deserves. He paid tribute to the security forces for scripting sagas of valour during the past seven decades and said the nation will always remain indebted to their sacrifices.

A musical tribute was given by the renowned singer, Tsewang Dorjee.

A short film (5 minutes) depicting the life history of Rohit Sadhu was screened during the function. Also, another short film was screened on the journey of the Brave Hearts.

Dr Rohit Koul, Chairman Peoples Hut Foundation, Sanjay Dhar Founder Sharika Foundation, Dr Sushma Shalla Koul, Anuradha Sharma, Ganesh Khajuria Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Fourm. Cultural Participation presented by Rishab Dorge a renowned singer, Shriya Sadhu and Master Krishna.

Member of Brave Hearts- Deepak Koul, Sandeep Tickoo, Pankaj Handoo, Manoj Bhat, Bimal Raina and Hanish Sharma were also present.
