Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir recorded 110 fresh Covid cases, taking the infection tally to 3,29,430 on Thursday, while no new fatality was reported in the Union Territory in the past 24 hours, officials said.

Out of the 110 fresh cases, 84 were from Kashmir and 26 from the Jammu division, the officials said.

Srinagar district recorded the highest number of 45 cases followed by 15 cases in Baramulla district.

The death toll due to the pandemic was 4,422 as no new fatality was reported in the past 24 hours.

Moreover, 153 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and have been discharged from various hospitals including 127 from Kashmir and 26 from Jammu division in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the officials said there are 46 confirmed cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) in the Union Territory and no fresh case has been reported since Wednesday evening.

On vaccination, the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus (Covid-19), informed that 1,48,425 doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to 1,14,31,276. It adds that 84.97 percent of the population above the age of 18 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the bulletin out of 3,29,430 positive cases recorded cumulatively so far, currently there are 1,345 active positive cases across the UT including 1,046 in Kashmir and 299 in Jammu division, while as 3,23,663 persons have recovered and 4,422 have died – 2,249 in Kashmir and 2,173 in Jammu division.
