Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir recorded 127 fresh COVID-19 cases on Sunday that took the infection tally to 3,29,008, while one more fatality pushed the death toll to 4,422, officials said.

Of the new cases, 104 were from the Kashmir and 23 from Jammu division, they said.

Srinagar district recorded the highest 56 cases followed by 13 in Baramulla district.

The death toll stands at 4,422 after one more fatality was reported from Kashmir Valley in the past 24 hours, they said.

Moreover, 175 more COVID-19 patients have recovered were discharged from various hospitals including 136 from Kashmir and 39 from Jammu division during the past 24 hours, officials said.

They said so far 81.97 percent of the population above the age of 18 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir.

Officials also said there were 46 confirmed cases of Mucormycosis (black fungus) in the Union Territory as no fresh case has been reported since Saturday evening.

According to the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus (Covid-19), out of 3,29,008 positive cases recorded cumulatively so far, currently there are 1,514 active positive cases across the UT, while as 3,23,072 persons have recovered and 4,422 have died – 2,249 in Kashmir and 2,173 in Jammu division.
