‘Future is Organic’: Union Minister of FPI launches NAFED organic manure in J&K

Srinagar: Minister of Food Processing Industries, Pashupati Kumar Paras, on Saturday launched NAFED and CEF organic manure to be used for agricultural and horticulture crops.

The manure is available in the market by the name of “Urban Farmer” and “Apna Khaad”.

Pertinently, NAFED and CEF signed an agreement with JKLWDA to process their lake weeds into high-quality organic manure. According to the officials, the organic manure is very rich in NPK and organic carbon and has a shown good results on all kinds of crops and plantations.

On the occasion, JP Singh from CEF informed the important stakeholders about the benefits of using organic manure. “It will have a positive impact on the environment as it will increase soil health and protect the environment from harmful chemical fertilizers,” he said.

Feroz Hussain from CEF further said that they are in process of selecting the dealers and distributors to supply the organic manure to all corners of the UT. “Our aim is to promote good agricultural practices and protect the environment.”
