Prize distribution function of Police-Public Mela held at PHQ

Srinagar: The prize distribution function of the 32nd Police-Public Mela 2020 for winners of Kashmir zone was held at Police Headquarters here today.

The function was presided over by DGP J&K Dilbag Singh.

The presentation function was attended by Chairperson PWWA Dr. Rubinder Kaur, Spl DG Crime J&K, A. K. Choudhary, ADGsP S. J. M. Gillani, Dr S. D. Singh Jamwal, M. K. Sinha, Danesh Rana, Sunil Kumar, IGsP Vijay Kumar, Alok Kumar, DIG Sunil Gupta, DPT J&K, Mushtaq Ahmed, PWWA members Archana Chowdhary, Palavi Gillani, Shabnam Mir, and Suma Sinha, AIGs of PHQ and other gazetted officers of PHQ.

Speaking on the occasion, the DGP J&K said that under the aegis of PWWA Chairperson and its members the Police Public Mela which once started as a small activity has gained a significant place in terms of healthy relations between J&K Police and public. He said this mela has facilitated better relations between Police and public. He said that every year the mela was organized twice but due to COVID-19 it could not be organized in 2020 in the way that used to be but still we managed to organize raffle draw because tickets were already sold out.

The DGP, ADGsP, IGsP, PWWA members, AIsG and other Gazzetted officers distributed the prizes.

1st Prize Maruti Suzuki Ciaz was presented to Balbir Singh.

2nd prizes Wagon R cars were presented to Abdul Hamid, Gulzar Ahmad Wani, & Feroz Ahmad Begh.

3rd prizes Alto 800 cars were presented to Jigmat Stobgya, Mohd. Ibrahim and Mohd. Ishaq.

Likewise, 5th prizes Motor Cycle TVS Sport 100cc were presented to Manzoor Ahmad, Reyaz Qadri, Firdous Ahmad, Manzoor Ahmad and Rameez Ahmad.

6th prizes Mi full HD Smart LED (55’’) were presented to Ab. Hamid and Gh. Hussain Mir.

7th prize Voltas High Wall Spilt AC (Hot & Cold) was presented to Firdous Ahmad. 8th prize of HP Laptop Quad Core 15.6” HD was presented to Shahid Ahmad.

9th prize of LG Convection Oven was presented to Raja Begum and 10th prizes of Samsung Refrigerator 192 ltrs were presented to Sarshad Hussain and Reyaz Ahmad.
