J&K records 168 fresh COVID-19 cases, no death

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday recorded 168 fresh positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), while no fresh fatality was reported.

Of the fresh cases, 153 were from Kashmir and 15 from Jammu division, officials said, adding that with today’s additions the total number of positive cases recorded cumulatively so far in Jammu and Kashmir stands at 3,27,941.

Moreover, 154 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 128 from Kashmir and 26 from Jammu division, they said.

So far, 77.31 percent of the population above the age of 18 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

They also informed that no new case of mucormycosis (black fungus) was reported today; the total number of confirmed cases remains 46 in the UT of J&K.

According to the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus (Covid-19), out of 3,27,941 positive cases recorded cumulatively so far, currently there are 1,493 active positive cases across the UT, while as 3,22,032 persons have recovered and 4,416 have died – 2,247 in Kashmir and 2,169 in Jammu division.
