Noted Kashmiri writer Dr Aziz Hajini passes away
Srinagar: A well known Kashmiri writer and former Secretary Cultural Academy, Dr Aziz Hajini Passed away on late Saturday evening after brief illness.
Dr Hajini was a Kashmiri writer, poet, critic and convenor of Sahitya Akademi for New Delhi’s Northern Regional Board. He served as assistant professor and was teaching Kashmiri in Centre for Shaikh-ul Aalam Studies, University of Kashmir till he retired from active service in 2019.
He was appointed secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in 2015 by PDP led Government. He wrote more than twenty books in Kashmiri language, including poetry and criticism.(KNS)
