Dr Samoon reviews projects under Capex Budget, admn process in govt polytechnics, ITIs

Samoon reviews functioning of ITIs, IMCs of Kashmir division

Srinagar: Principal Secretary Skill Development Department, Dr. Asgar Samoon, today held a meeting to review progress on projects taken up under Capex Budget 2021-22 besides reviewing admission process in government polytechnics and ITIs of J&K.

The meeting was attended by Director SDD J&K, CE R&B Kashmir, Secretary BOTE J&K, Principals of Government Polytechnics of J&K, Superintendents of Government ITIs, concerned Executive Engineers and other concerned officers and agencies.

It was informed in the meeting that 41 works under polytechnic sector and 57 works under ITI sector are being executed under Capex Budget with an estimated cost of Rs.4544.27 lakh and Rs. 3313.60 lakh respectively.

Principal Secretary asked the officers to accelerate the pace of progress on these vital works to ensure timely completion besides full utilization of funds allocated for the said works under the current year’s budget.

Besides directions were given to the Director SDD, Principals of Polytechnics and Superintendents of ITIs to give wide publicity to admission process started in Polytechnics and ITIs to ensure full utilization of intake capacity.
