Sewer Premier League-2nd Edition: Shining Stars Khurhama lifts trophy

Lolab (Kupwara): The Sewer Premier League-2nd Edition concluded Tuesday at Sewer cricket ground.

Shining Stars Khurhama lifted the trophy by defeating KCC Khurhama.

After winning the toss, KCC Khurhama decided to bat first and scored 115 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in total 16 overs.

For SSK, Syed Waseem took 3 crucial wickets in his three over spell.

Chasing the target of 116 runs, SSK finished the game in the last over with 3 wickets and 2 balls to spare.

For SSK, Syed Masood played a majestic inning of 44 runs of just 19 balls followed by Syed Mudasir who scored 32 runs.

Syed Shakir received Man of the match award and Syed Hidayet was declared Man of the tournament for his remarkable all-round performance.

“Holding such an event in this remote area of Sewer Lolab was only possible due to the wholehearted support of locals,” said Mysir, organizer of the tournament.

 

The event was attended by various dignitaries’ including people from civil society. Many senior cricketers and senior citizens were also present on the occasion.
