Anantnag: Suspected militants on Wednesday evening lobbed a grenade on a police party in Sherbagh area of Anantnag town, however, no injuries were reported in the incident, officials said here.
Quoting an official, news agency KNO reported that the militants hurled a grenade and fired several rounds towards the police party in Sherbagh.
He said that there were, however, no casualties in the incident.
The official said reinforcements were rushed in and the area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
